Birkman Assessment
Currently I am using The Birkman Method® with clients who wish to go deeper and learn more about themselves through a formal tool. The Birkman combines motivational, behavioral and interest evaluation into one single assessment, which provides a multi-dimensional and comprehensive analysis. Used by individuals as well as teams to discover varying facets of self and apply in everyday activities. It increase effectiveness with a deeper understanding of self and others on three levels: what I present to others, what I need from others and how I behave when I am stressed. There are two versions at different costs available. The Birkman Method and The Birkman on Demand.

The following is a sample from the Birkman On Demand topic Motivating for best performance:
• May respond better to general rather than specialized management tasks
• Likely to be more self-motivated when he is not made to specialize in a particular area of work
• Responds readily to opportunities to influence others directly
• Particularly responsive to situations where he can help others
• Motivated by projects where visual appeal is important
• Prefers direct, no-nonsense instructions and encouragement
• Popular support increases his level of self-motivation
• Responds best to low-key direction
• Driven by ideals and principles as much as by concrete incentive
• Let him concentrate — don’t interrupt if it’s avoidable
• Protect him from people with views or opinions that are outside the mainstream
• If you want him to feel self-motivated, be decisive, and don’t change your mind later
