The I AM Story
March 11, 2010
Long before I knew what a mantra was.
Many years before I placed a conscious definition around the word affirmation.
I had an I AM statement. It was created during a very difficult time for me. One of many that touched my awareness of empowerment. I was 25 and my mother had recently died of a brain aneurysm. Lost without my best friend, my confidante, my mom and questioning who I was these words began to form.
At first it was only three. I wrote them down in my journal. Found myself doodling them at work. Like a gentle whisper from a friend. I AM beautiful, wealthy and wise.
Soon two more words joined in and the words became capitalized. I AM Strong, Beautiful, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. They seemed to always have the same order of which they placed themselves. I found myself at the gym, exercising. In my car at a red light. Repeating them over and over. More than 15 years later these 5 words are still a part of me. They have never changed.
As part of the Empower-Women-Now.com community I invite you to share your I AM statement. View I AM statements HERE and share yours on the same page by scrolling down and clicking on the lower right “What is Your True Essence?” prompt. A box will open at the top of the page for your entry.
I AM Strong, Beautiful, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise!
